Clements Residents Have Mayor and Council Choices on November Ballot

State filings name candidates for the city's municipal offices

Clements residents preparing for Minnesota's November 3, 2026, general election can look to the Secretary of State's candidate directory for information on local offices.

The filing list identifies Thomas Groebner as a candidate for mayor. Heather Lothert and Patrick Nelsen filed for two City Council seats. All are listed as nonpartisan candidates.

Municipal officials help make decisions about budgets, streets, utilities and other services close to home. Candidate filings show who entered the election, but they do not establish final winners, explain candidates' views, or replace an official ballot.

Residents should use the state's official voting tools to confirm their registration, polling place and ballot information before election day.

Minnesota Riverlands watches official Minnesota election records to bring Clements-specific information into the community news feed.
