Lamberton Invites Community to November 17 Child Care Listening Sessions

Parents, child care providers, businesses and neighbors are invited to share ideas at two sessions at the Lamberton Community Center.

The City of Lamberton, Redwood County Economic Development Authority and First Children's Finance are inviting residents to share their experiences and ideas about child care in Lamberton and surrounding communities.

The community listening session will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at the Lamberton Community Center. Residents can attend either of two time slots: 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. or 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The organizers want to hear from parents, child care providers, employers and anyone who lives, works or does business in the community. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss current needs, hear about efforts underway and suggest ways to improve access to child care.

Why it matters: Access to child care affects more than individual families. It also influences whether parents can work, how local employers recruit and retain staff, and how communities support young children. The conversation is an opportunity for community members to help identify what would make a difference locally.
