LINC Redwood County visits Walnut Grove

Community members explored local businesses and resources during recent event

Participants in the LINC Redwood County program visited Walnut Grove last week to learn about local resources and business culture. The day began at the Walnut Grove Community Center with a session led by Ann Vote of Impact to Influence focused on workplace culture. Attendees also heard from representatives of the Redwood County Economic Development Authority and received marketing tips from Sarah Kicmal and her team at December Day Creative LLC. The group toured several local spots, including Sweet Treats & More LLC, Half Pint Coffee Co., the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum, and Plum Creek Park. Park Manager Adam Kletscher highlighted recent upgrades at the park, such as an accessible beach and new trails. The day concluded with an alumni social at the Walnut Grove Bar & Grill. Organizers Kristy Baker, Crystal Knakmuhs, and Beth Bjorklund served as day chairs for the event. More details regarding the county's resources can be found on the official Redwood County Facebook page.
