Local Racer Takes the Win

Over the weekend of August 8-9, 2026, in Montevideo, MN, Ryan Flaten of Madison (MN) dashed to his sixth Midwest modified feature win of the season at FCS. Now, I do love a good success story, and it seems our neighbors have been busy at the speedways lately. Apparently, stock car drivers were out racing at four different area speedways over that same weekend. It must have been quite the sight with all that engine noise and speed. I have always said that there is nothing like a local racing program to get the heart pumping on a weekend. Mr. Flaten seems to be having quite the impressive season with those six wins under his belt. It is always nice to see someone from around our parts doing so well and taking home the trophy at the feature events. I know some of our local fans keep a very close watch on the stats at the various tracks.
