Minnesota Soybean Harvest Reaches 93%, Corn Harvest 65%
New statewide figures provide a snapshot of fall fieldwork across our region.

Minnesota's harvest made significant progress during the week ending October 25. According to USDA crop progress figures released October 26 and reported October 27, 93% of Minnesota soybeans and 65% of corn for grain had been harvested. Corn harvest had climbed from 38% a week earlier.
The numbers describe the whole state, and field conditions can differ substantially by farm and county. Weather, crop moisture, yields and drying costs all affect how much work remains.
Why it matters in our region: Agriculture supports farm families, elevators, local suppliers and many small businesses. State harvest figures offer a point of comparison, but they cannot replace reports from producers in our region about this year's crop.
