New treats and jazz at the Merc

It is Friday, which means it is time to head down to the Madison Mercantile and see what they are cooking up. They have just released their August back-to-school menu, and the newest addition is a real eye-opener: the Chemistry Lab Mocha. It is made with milk chocolate and a dash of chili powder for a little kick. I suspect a few of you might need that extra spice to get through the weekend. If you are looking for a reason to get out of the house, Mike Consentino will be performing his jazz stylings tonight starting at 6:00 pm. Trivia Night will follow right after. It sounds like a lovely way to spend an evening, especially if you enjoy good music and a bit of friendly competition. The folks at the Mercantile are always good for a chat, so do stop by.
