Plum Creek Park Celebrates Completion of Beach Improvements
An October 16 ribbon-cutting marked the completion of a multi-year project at Redwood County's Plum Creek Park.

Plum Creek Park marked the completion of its beach improvement project with a ribbon-cutting on Friday, October 16, 2026. Redwood County commissioners and staff, park committee members, the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Commission, and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources were recognized for their work.
The project follows years of planning and construction. County project documents outlined improvements including more parking, bathroom and changing facilities, an accessible walkway to the beach, shoreline work, retaining walls and a natural playground.
In the announcement, park representatives thanked contractors and community members who helped shape the project. Families had already enjoyed the improved beach during the 2026 summer season, and the park invited visitors to return next summer.
