Redwood Falls Residents Donate 160 Units of Blood
Community members stepped up to support local patients at the October drive.

The Redwood Falls community gathered at the Redwood Area Community Center on Monday, October 19, and Tuesday, October 20, 2026, to participate in the American Red Cross blood drive. Throughout the two-day event, 169 donors successfully collected 160 units of blood, which has the potential to help up to 480 patients. Volunteers, canteen sponsors including the Redwood Lions Club and Cornerstone Church, and staff worked to manage the event, which saw 175 scheduled appointments. Several milestone donors were recognized, ranging from those giving their first donation to long-time contributors like Kayleen Dahmes, who has donated 18 gallons. Those who wish to support local hospitals through future donations can mark their calendars for the final 2026 drive on December 21 and 22. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please visit the American Red Cross or check the Redwood Falls Bloodmobile Facebook page.
