Save the Date for Orientation

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, it was announced that the Montevideo High School Orientation and Open House will be held on Tuesday, August 25th. If you have students heading into high school, or even if you just like to keep up with what is happening in the district, this is definitely one to put on the calendar. I know that orientation days can be a whirlwind for both the kids and the parents, so having a heads-up is always a good idea. It is the best time to meet the teachers, find your way around the hallways, and get a feel for what the school year will hold. They say that the open house is a great way to see what programs are being offered and to get all those first-day jitters out of the way before the actual start of the semester. I imagine the school will be quite busy that Tuesday evening, so plan your dinner schedules accordingly. It is always a relief to get the logistics out of the way before the school buses start rolling again.
