Wabasso Students Learn Flag Etiquette from American Legion Visitor
Mrs. Plaetz visited a Wabasso classroom to teach students about the U.S. flag and how to care for it.
A Wabasso Public Schools classroom welcomed Mrs. Plaetz from the American Legion for a lesson about the United States flag, according to a school social media post.
Students learned about the parts of the flag, how to care for it properly and why people observe traditions of respect when displaying it. The classroom thanked Mrs. Plaetz for sharing her time and knowledge with the students.
The visit is an example of a local community organization sharing practical civic traditions with students. The original school post includes photographs from the classroom.
